During my studies at the university I have undertaken 2 international work opportunities with PAX in Mauritius in June 2019 (in an Internationally recognized NGO) and Singapore January 2020 (in marketing department). The overall experience has been wholesome, I could travel abroad, see different working cultures, diversity as well as take international work experience. PAX takes care of the minute things you ask for, and I have been a very happy with the overall experience.

During my time in Mauritius, I believe PAX gave it all in to make my experience a truly wonderful one. Be it hospitality or the internship itself, the package seemed to tailor made for each one of us. The experience not only taught me how to work in a corporate environment but also helped me realise what I really want to do ahead in my life.

I have interned with PAX in Mauritius (In Jan 2019) and Singapore (In Jan 2020) both. It has been a great learning experience for me. Living indepently (ofcourse with PAX guidance) as well as going to work everyday in formals, sitting in work meetings, meeting the clients in my office, it gave me the feel of corporate life. PAX provides really good food, stay and hospitality, their team is very supportive and friendly. I definitely endorse them in all their endeavours.

Global Virtual Intern in Mauritius in July 2020. It was amazing working through PAX in Mauritius. Both PAX and my host organizations are extremely cooperative. PAX really helped me find an internship that matched my interests and helped me find a suitable company. I worked as a Content Writer & Social Media Manager. My company mentor in Mauritius is the sweetest person and guided me throughout my internship with them. I learned so many new things and got to know amazing and hardworking people. The work I did at my internship will surely help me in future. I definitely recommend internships with PAX.

I learned a lot of things during my hotel management internship of 5 months in Mauritius. I was in the kitchen department, wherein I learned many new cuisines and live cooking. It was a great time there, I also got to experience other departments on rotation and understood different roles and responsibilities. I acquired skills and my colleagues and supervisors were extremely helpful and nice. I feel very different after completing the internship, I gained a lot of learnings. I lived in Flic-en-Flac and my accommodation was organized by PAX which was 2 minutes walk from the beach. I loved the country, there are a lot of activities to do in Mauritius and I owe everything to team PAX, especially Charan sir who was always very supportive during the entire time.

I went for a corporate internship in Mauritius during my under graduation. The most amazing memory from my internship is meeting With the First Female President of Mauritius. Yes! I met the President, PAX director was invited to the President House, wherein he chose a few students for the meeting, and I was one of the interns who got an opportunity to meet the country president!

Global Virtual Interns in Singapore during June-July 2020. When I had first applied for a virtual internship I was a little hesitant, but during the screening call, PAX manager cleared all my doubts and queries, within 3 weeks of me applying, they confirmed my internship in June and I started with my internship in Singapore. There were other interns apart from me in the Singaporean company and my manager would always keep once a week casual interaction sessions so that I could be accustomed to Singapore culture and have little fun with work. PAX Manager was there throughout even during my internship and constantly guided and checked on my experience. Absolutely recommend pax for their virtual internships!

I got to know how the goods are transported to different places or countries, documents required, rules and regulations to be followed, Accounting policies of Mauritius. Apart from experience, I learned many things about myself. Met so many people, learned about their culture, and most importantly Mauritius is a really beautiful and peaceful place, so many things to explore. My experience was amazing, to be honest. I just enjoyed that time period, even if I am working in the office or if it’s the weekend. Being there for a month made me more confident that I can live independently!

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Team PAX for giving me one of the best experiences of my life. I could only dream of going abroad and they fulfilled my dream with an international Internship opportunity in Mauritius in the field of culinary and kitchen department. I have learned several new things during my internship, interacted with many internationals, received a lot of appreciation for my work which in turn boosted my morale and level of confidence many folds. Before a hotel management internship experience, I was a shy person, who wouldn't travel to any new places, but this internship experience truly changed me for the better and made me a more out-going, professional, and confident person. Without PAX this wouldn't have been possible and I am very thankful to them.

Being a first year student I was new to the work environment, and at the same time I was learning to manage my personal work venture at home. The flexible working hours during the internship helped me to keep up with my personal work venture as well as with the international internship in a different time zone. It was an experience worthwhile, and I everyone who can, definitely and must take up internship to understand corporate working culture and to effectively work professionally.

Interning in Mauritius will always be a very important chapter of my life. This one month was a true balance of professional as well as personal growth. Things that I read in books back in college, I actually applied it in the real world. I was given a chance to directly interact with the clients, which taught me key elements of communication and negotiation. As an intern I never thought I would be trusted with so much responsibility. My leaders were so supportive throughout and I learnt so much from them in terms of marketing as well as about the corporate life.

From the whole journey of internship, I developed skills on how to become more self dependent and not get bothered about small issues, try to tackle the situation calmly even though initially when I had faced a small problem ,I felt panicky but later on I understood that I can handle the situation with the help of persons who acted as my guardian. They helped me understand the value of being calm even in small issues. I think the most favourite memory I cherish was the part when all of us sat together and ate delicious, healthy food provided by PAX, it was just amazing!

Interning in Mauritius opened avenues for me in various paths of life. Post my internship I also got an opportunity to intern with PAX team out of their India office for 6 months, which was a great learning period for me. After my internship I travelled to UK for my Masters, and that was when I realized how important it was for me that I took up an international exposure before moving to UK. Also, I got an opportunity to meet the First Female President of Mauritius - one of my fondest memories till date. Thank you PAX for making it all memorable

Apart from the corporate experience, I also learned that lifestyle has a huge impact on the business these days and also adapted how to live on your own kind of lifestyle. Pax has lived up to their tag line of education and entertainment and also they provided us the best possible service which one can expect when you are abroad. There were many things to take away from the internship and also many memories. In a nutshell, it was one hell of an experience in a Paradise.

Experiencing Mauritius with PAX was a heavenly experience for me in the field of Hotel Management. I was a diploma student and when I heard about an international experience being offered which would cover my food, accommodation, flights, visa, and confirmation in a 4-5 star hotel in an Indian Ocean Island, I decided to go for it. The happiness and fulfillment that I got while interning in Mauritius were no less than the happiness I had when I graduated from university. Team PAX took care of all the logistical hassles and gave me a magical experience. My colleagues at the hotel that I interned in were also extremely supportive, very welcoming, and I thoroughly enjoyed and learned plenty of new things during my international hotel management internship.

I have learned many things during my internship in abroad: exposure to many different types of people will not only help you to develop your people skills, but it will also give you a more in-depth knowledge of others, particularly those from different cultures as well and I have learned how to spend money or invest money in abroad whether it maybe purchasing in groceries etc and moreover with this international experience I was able to build my confidence On how to study and work abroad.

This internship has given me a broader perspective of how a corporate works. My company ranks in the top 10 companies on this island. I learned how to be independent and intern life can be tough, but not with PAX. Because of PAX, I enjoyed it a lot there. Charan sir used to take care of us and he was always there for us whenever we needed him and it felt like I was home.

I've learnt that it's very easy to immerse oneself in a new and different culture and instantly be a part of it and become one with it like you've been there forever. All it takes is being open minded and open to new experiences. I've learnt to cross each and every bridge when it comes, rather than to anticipate and count the bridges and how I'll be crossing them.

PAX is everything, a home away from home! They give you a homely feel to such extents that you start missing your PAX fam once back home. During my time in Mauritius, I gained a few things more than just work experience and skills. Naming some would be to have a sense of responsibility since you are miles away from home, confidence and exposure to new things in life!

I got to learn a lot about the business environment, work culture, their technology and the marketing techniques which the companies use to advertise and promote their brands. My favourite memory is when my whole group was at the top of Le Morne. It was an amazing experience. Each day you get to learn something new: Time Management, Live Life and Stay Happy. Be calm to find out a solution.
